UK Hospital Lists from Standard Life Healthcare

At Standard Life Healthcare we want to make sure your clients have prompt access to private healthcare in a hospital that best suits their needs. That's why we work very closely with hospitals to provide comprehensive hospital coverage throughout the UK.

We offer a choice of three hospital lists: Our main Countrywide Hospital List offers a wide range of hospitals right across the country. Your clients can choose this, or opt for the Countrywide London Upgrade - adding seven central London hospitals - or select the Extended London Upgrade, adding a further four London hospitals to those available on the Countrywide London Upgrade.

Countrywide Hospital List

A comprehensive selection of the leading hospital groups, such as Spire (previously known as BUPA), Ramsay Health Care (previously known as Capio), Nuffield and BMI, as well as NHS hospitals with private patient units and NHS paybeds. Every private hospital outside London is included, plus some in London.

Countrywide London Upgrade

A London Upgrade is also available, which means that as well as the extensive range of hospitals on the Countrywide List, your clients will also be able to choose to be treated at any of seven central London hospitals - including some of the most expensive and most prestigious.

Extended London Upgrade

This list provides your clients with access to three more London hospitals than our Countrywide London Upgrade. This means they can choose any central London hospital, as well as all of the hospitals on our Countrywide List.

Guided Option

Guided Option lowers the cost of PMI from Standard Life Healthcare by 15%. With Guided Option the hospital manages the patient’s treatment from beginning to end, making better use of its resources and enabling us to pass the resulting cost savings onto your clients. We have a special arrangement to offer our Guided Option in a selection of leading hospitals nationwide.

Please note:
In the event of a claim, your client will need written authorisation from us before incurring any treatment costs. This allows us to keep contol of costs and to provide guidance during the claim. Claiming is straightforward and claimants should refer to the step-by-step guide provided in their membership pack.
