International Bond Daily Deposit Account Rates

These pages will give you the current rates as at 12/03/2010 for the deposit accounts available through the International Bond. You can refine the list of accounts by selecting the appropriate Bank and/or Account Type for the drop down list.

Please note that Moody's ratings are correct as at 02 March 2010.

Important Information

This information is correct as at 12/03/2010. The current UK base rate is 0.50%. Please note that:
  1. *These rates change daily.
  2. Please be advised that all rates are AER unless otherwise specified.
  3. The rates are not guaranteed - for the latest information, please contact Standard Life International on 0845 300 4273. Call charges may vary.
  4. The rates are at the discretion of the deposit account provider and may change or be withdrawn at short notice.
  5. Details of conditions that apply for each of the providers can be found by clicking the 'Notes' link at the end of each row.
  6. It usually takes 2-3 days for money to be transferred to a deposit account.
  7. Some banks may apply early withdrawal charges if money is withdrawn from particular types of account before the end of the term or without providing sufficient notice. If your client takes out an International Bond but then changes their mind within the 30 day cancellation period, we reserve the right to deduct this charge from the amount refunded to them.
  8. All investment choices are made at your client's risk, so it is important that they seek appropriate financial advice. Standard Life International is not responsible for the performance or solvency of the providers of the investments available through the International Bond. In the event of a deposit account provider being unable to meet any claims against it, any funds from your client's bond held in a deposit account with that provider will not be covered by protection schemes such as the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS) or the Depositor's Compensation Scheme.
  9. Any commission charges and the additional 0.55% deposit account charge will come out of the IB bank account and therefore there must be sufficient funds in the IB bank account to cover these charges.
  10. Customers investing in Deposit Accounts are also required to have an International Bond (IB) Bank Account to manage the product charges. The usual interest rate applied to the IB Bank Account is 1% below the Bank of England base rate. Due to the Bank of England base rate being below 1% we are currently applying the rate of 0.65% to the IB Bank Account. This rate is not guaranteed and may change in the future.
  11. Standard Life has entered into an agreement to sell Standard Life Bank such that it will become a Division of Barclays during January 2010. Please rest assured that there are no changes to how the accounts will be serviced.
