Standard Life Healthcare Limited is a wholly owned subsidiary of Standard Life Assurance Limited. We are one of the UK's leading providers of Private Medical Insurance (PMI) products, covering over 600,000 customers . We provide cover both for private individuals and companies.

    More than just an insurer

    Our comprehensive range of products ensures that customers have a wide choice of plans to choose from, all of which provide value for money. However, we offer more than just health insurance. For instance, our Health & Well-being online service comes as standard on all individual and company plans (except for claims-related company business). This service is designed to help customers improve their health and well-being by focusing on four key areas - sleep, stress, nutrition and fitness. It inlcudes online assessments and companies can benefit by receiving an annual report highlighting key areas of improvement when enough employees take the assessments. We also provide a 24-hour GP advice line giving all our customers access to qualified GPs at any time of the day or night.

    Protecting our customers

    Standard Life Healthcare is authorised and regulated by the Financial Services Authority.

    Policyholders will be protected by the Financial Services Compensation scheme, which deals with compensation if firms are unable or likely to be unable to meet claims against them.

    Additionally, Standard Life Healthcare is a member of the Financial Ombudsman Service (FOS). The FOS is an independent body that will investigate a customer's complaint at no cost to them. Its decision is binding on us.
