Information Only Authorities can be accepted by telephone. Ask your client to call us and we will add the Authority against the appropriate plan(s) during their call. You will then be able to receive plan details immediately.

Transfer of Business

The following are Standard Life's requirements to enable a bulk transfer of business:

  • Written confirmation from the ceding company that the servicing and commission rights can be transferred away. The letter should be on company headed paper and signed by an authorised signatory.

(n.b the confirmation must come from the company that 'owns' the business, therefore in the case of a network member, the confirmation must be sent from the network)

  • Written confirmation from the receiving company that they accept the transfer of business, along with any outstanding indemnity liability and that they have written to the clients to inform them of the transfer. The letter should also confirm the account number the business is to be transferred to.

To arrange a bulk transfer online, click on the 'Adviserwise' link (see Related Links above)
